Existem diversas opções de lazer à sua disposição, desde passeios de escuna, mergulhos em corais, visitas à reserva indígena Pataxó no Parque Nacional do Monte Pascoal, ou simplesmente relaxar na praia de areias brancas e águas calmas ou na piscina tratada com sal. There are several recreational options at your disposal, ranging from schooner boat rides, coral reef diving, visits to the Pataxó indian reserve at the Monte Pascoal National Park, to simply kicking back on the white sands of the beaches to listen to the soothing waves or by our salt-water pool. Escuna / Schooner
A escuna São Francisco mantém a sua rusticidade mas foi preparada para dar conforto nos seus passeios. Dentre as várias opções de passeios, destacamos subir o Rio Corumbau durante o pôr do sol, ir até Caraíva e Praia do Espelho, visitar a barra do Rio Caí e visitar os recifes de Itacolomi, onde pode-se ver a exuberância das suas formas, peixes variados ou até mesmo caminhar cuidadosamente sobre os recifes na maré baixa.

The São Francisco schooner maintains its rustic appearance but has been overhauled to provide comfort to its passengers along the journey. Among the wide selection of possible journeys, the “musts” are: going up the Corumbau River at sunset, visiting Caraíva and Praia do Espelho (Mirror Beach—so named due to the glass like appearance of the sea), dropping by the Caí River sandbank and stopping off at the Itacolomi reefs to see the mind-boggling reef formations, the assorted fish and marine-life or even to carefully trek over the reefs at low tide.

Trilhas / Trails
A Fazenda São Francisco possui 15 ilhas num dos manguezais mais exuberantes do país. Uma passarela com 320 metros de extensão sobre o mangue, leva até uma das ilhas, passando por árvores que chegam a medir 4 metros de altura.

The São Francisco Farm has 15 islands scattered through one of the most overwhelming mangroves in Brazil. A 320-meter boardwalk extends over the mangroves, taking visitors to the islands, passing by mangrove trees that stretch as high as 4 meters.

Aldeia Indígena / Indigenous Village
Quem tiver curiosidade em saber um pouco mais sobre as tradições e a cultura do povo que já habitava a região na época do Descobrimento, não pode deixar de visitar a reserva indígena Pataxó, localizada no Parque Nacional do Monte Pascoal. A aventura começa atravessando o Rio Corumbau numa canoa e segue utilizando-se os rústicos bugues dirigidos pelos índios da reserva. Sem ruas ou estradas definidas, o caminho utilizado até a reserva, alterna momentos junto à orla com trilhas que cortam os arbustos.

Those curious to know a little more about the traditions and culture of the people that inhabited the region back when Brazil was discovered cannot miss a visit to the Pataxó Indian reserve, located in the Monte Pascoal National Park. The adventure starts by crossing the Corumbau River in a canoe, then on to rustic buggies driven by the indians from the reserve. With no streets or pathways defined, the trail to the reserve crosses riverside paths and connects to other trails throughout the forest.

Passeios de Canoa / Canoeing
Também é possível remar até os corais em frente à Fazenda São Francisco, subir o Rio Corumbau de escuna e descer remando ou ir de carro até pontos do Rio Corumbau não navegáveis de escuna e descer silenciosamente o rio, apreciando a vegetação intocada, pássaros, piriquitos e aves aquáticas e, em alguns pontos, descansar e mergulhar nas margens mais rasas do Rio Corumbau.

It is also possible to row out to coral reefs facing the São Francisco Farm. Sailing the Corumbau River in a schooner and row back in a canoe is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Besides these places, you can canoe through some of the un-navigated waters of the Corumbau River and glide back to the river in silence, taking in the virgin vegetation, bird life and marine life. You can even take a break and jump into the clean shallow waters along the banks of the Corumbau River.
